To make a bibliography, you have 2 ways to enter the data. Either by entering bib record numbers individually, or by copying and pasting a list of saved records from Minerva.
1. If you are going to manually enter each bib number, specify the number of fields you will need in the first box. Choose which library the links will go to (if you are making a print bibliography, this choice will determine what call numbers are shown). Next choose whether you are making a bibliography to print or for the webpage. Choosing to print will display a Call No. with each item. The for the web option will instead display dynamic text with an available items / reserve this item link. This text is updated each time the page is visited. Click "Get Started". In the input fields, you can enter data 3 ways.
- Enter the bib record like b9889883
- Enter the url from the Minerva saved books page. You get this by saving items, going to the "view saved items", right-clicking the item title, and choosing 'copy link location'
- Enter the url from the 'Save Records' button on the item's record page. Right-click and choose 'copy link location'.
2.The other way is find and 'save' all of your items in Minerva. When you are done with the whole list, go to the View Saved Records screen. If you have a list with 5 or less records, you can go right to viewing the sourcecode. Otherwise, click the "Screen" choice under Send List to. Click "Submit" . You should see all of your items listed. Now view the sourcecode of the page. (In Internet Explorer: View > Source. In Firefox: View > Page Source.) Copy All and paste it into the box at the top right.
When you are done either of these 2 methods, click the Create Preview button. You will now see a preview of your list. You can click on any field to edit the text. If you'd like to change which location one of the listings points to, click 'advanced linking options'. Type in the scope you'd like the links to point to. You can also make the links point to a custom search instead of a single bib record. For assistance with this, use the 'create a custom link' button to easily make a customized search link.
When you are happy with the preview, click the Okay... link just above the preview. If you selected a print list, your list will print. If you selected a web list, you will be given the html code to paste into your webpage or CMS.
